FAQ
How do I submit my order?
You submit your order through our shopping cart. Once you place your order you will receive a confirmation email. When you receive your confirmation email, you will attach your jpeg(s) and send back to us. All jpegs should be sized for the bag you want and should be at 180 dpi. Do not make the dpi larger. At 180dpi your images will reproduce with the clarity and crispness that is necessary. Also use RGB MODE for all your files even if it is a black and white image. DO NOT use the Grayscale Mode or CMYK Mode for your files because it will affect your coloring when printing to fabric. Email us at bagsbybabycakes@rushpost.com should you need assistance.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MC, AMX, and personal checks or money order. If writing a personal check, please make it payable to Bags By BabyCakes. All personal checks will need to clear in order for the production of your handbag to begin. Please do not send cash in the mail. Our address for mailing is Bags By BabyCakes 5010 Bross Place Broomfield Colorado 80020
What is your guarantee on your product?
BabyCakes has a 30 day guarantee against any defects that may have occurred during manufacturing. The guarantee DOES NOT cover normal wear and tear of the product. If it is necessary to send your bag back to BabyCakes, you must call us at 303 246-6715 or email us at bagsbybabycakes@rushpost.com for authorization before doing so.
What do I need to know about cropping, color and submitting my image?
- Cropping is done to fit the image to the bag of your choice. Please crop your image to the size of the bag that you are ordering. Please leave a ½ inch around the image for seam allowance. Please make sure that enough room is left so “fingers and toes” don’t get caught in the seam. Do not add borders that you do not want to show. We cannot guarantee that borders that are not part of the image will be totally used in the seam allowance. If need be, we suggest you use the cloning tool in Photoshop to complete the image cropping. It is better to bleed your image off to the edges than try and put in a border. Different style bags work better with different image formats. For example, the Shari bag works better with a portrait image than some of the others. Please take that into consideration when picking the bag and the image. Some of our bags have grommets. Please make sure that the grommets will not affect the integrity of your image. Again, if you need assistance please email or call us and we will be happy to assist you.
- Due to the different calibration on monitors and the print process itself, it is it is not possible to guarantee exact coloring for images on fabric. Even two bags with the exact same images may have a slight variation in the hues. Your image will reproduce almost exactly as you see it; however, due to the heat transfer process, colors may adhere to the fabric slightly different than they do on paper or canvas.
If you need assistance with the cropping or color please call or email us.

How does a hard copy photograph get transferred?
If you are using a hard copy photograph, we will convert it to jpeg format and then it will go through our special transfer process. This process impregnates the image into the fabric of your choice. The image is then made into the bag of your choice. We will return your hard copy image with your bag. If your photograph was taken by a professional photographer, we will need a release from the photographer to use the image. This applies to both hard copy images and jpegs.
What kind of fabric is used in designing my bag?
Your image is processed right into a bridal satin or a poly “ultra suede” fabric. Both fabrics will bring your image “to life” and are very durable.
What is the best way to keep it clean?
When you receive your bag, you may want to scotch guard it. Apply one light layer and then let dry. Then go back over it again with one more layer.
I have been using my handbag heavily since I received it and it has gotten pretty dirty. Is there a way to clean it?
Yes. Your handbag is very durable but does need some cleaning maintenance from time to time. We suggest spot treating your handbag with cold water and if need be, with a very light solution of dishwashing soap and cold water. Using a soft towel, dab the soiled area with a light solution of cold water and dishwashing soap. Let dry and then scotch guard. In instances where the bag is heavily soiled, professional dry cleaners should be consulted.
